About C4G

Care4Growing,

the digital platform that
brings together growers and partners

A digital ecosystem

A ‘virtual assistant’ in the field, combining existing and new services and providing proactive support throughout the cultivation process for over 3,000 producers. This was the basis for a high-quality and future-oriented IT platform, to which other partners from the agricultural and horticultural sector can also connect.

In this way, Care4Growing forms a real ‘digital ecosystem’ that will further expand its services with new functionalities to benefit the grower and his partners. A unique cooperation that radically changes the way the entire sector operates.

Shall we head out to the field together?

Jump virtually from field to field and discover Care4Growing together with virtual grower Henk. What functionalities does the platform offer? What is the added value for the agricultural and horticultural sector? What do the growers think of it?

'Care4Growing is first and foremost a mobile tool that supports the grower through the entire process “from cultivation to delivery'."

Care4Growing would like to ensure that every grower has a handy tool to support him in his daily tasks: a ‘virtual assistant’ in the field, combining existing and new servicess.

A proactive tool that accompanies the entire process ‘from cultivation to delivery’. In time, Care4Growing will offer more than 100 functionalities and concrete solutions at the service of both the producer and its partners.

“Gradually, more and more useful functionalities will be added to the application, which will grow into a versatile tool with a lot of information and services for our growers.”

Care4Growing is an ambitious project with the aim of eventually offering a truly digital ecosystem which other parties from the agricultural and horticultural sector (suppliers, service providers, test centres, tax accountants and so on) can join. The digital platform, which is offered in both mobile and web-based formats, will also be expanded with new functionalities and technologies such as artificial intelligence and chatbots.

“‘In time, we would like to develop a real “digital ecosystem”, in which other partners from the agricultural and horticultural sector can also connect.”

Care4Growing is a multifunctional platform that enables growers and partners in the sector to work together easily and intuitively. In an initial phase, it will be used by the three largest producer organisations of fruit and vegetables. As a result, as many as 3,000 producers will be immediately united on the platform.

In a later phase, the connection with other stakeholders from the agricultural and horticultural sector will follow, allowing the platform to evolve into a digital ecosystem.

"Quality data forms the fertile soil of this digital platform."

TThe platform allows the grower to get a 360° view of his crops and manage proprietary information. The management of complete, high-quality information forms the basis for the goal of optimal marketing of the products.

"It’s a very concrete application for the people on the field and a strong innovative and cooperative initiative."

Flemish Minister of Agriculture Hilde Crevits
